Liam Lawson didn’t have the best start to the 2025 Formula 1 season. He failed to keep up with his teammate Max Verstappen and lost crucial points in the Australian and Chinese Grand Prix events. Following the race in Shanghai, Red Bull officials swapped Lawson for a 24-year-old Yuki Tsunoda. Lawson is now back at Racing Bulls, joining rookie star Isack Hadjar. When asked for his reflections after stepping out of the Racing Bulls car, Liam Lawson claimed he had a great time driving in Suzuka. “It was a good day. Nice to be driving, nice to be driving at Suzuka again," he said. “It’s a very cool track. With the resurfacing, Sector 1 is even faster now, so it just feels like it’s tearing your head off, which is quite exciting. But yeah, all in all, a good day. Obviously, tomorrow’s the more important one," he added.
Liam Lawson also highlighted how everyone at Racing Bulls has been extremely welcoming since his return. The New Zealand driver now only hopes to deliver solid results in Suzuka. “I’ve spent a lot of time with this team, they’re a great bunch of people, and it’s nice to feel that welcome back again, so hopefully we can go and have some good races together," he concluded.

Red Bull will be looking to recover some points to narrow the gap between them and leaders McLaren in the overall Constructors’ standings. Liam Lawson will also hope to make an early impact in his return stint on the racing weekend.
