
A suspected gunman was tasered and arrested following a brief stand-off with armed police in Leeds.
The drama unfolded shortly before 11am on Tuesday, with pictures showing a man pointing what appears to be a pistol at an officer who had his own handgun drawn in Queenswood Drive, Kirkstall.
He was subdued by one of the cops’ Tasers and taken into custody, where he remains.
Police later recovered a BB gun at the scene.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: ‘At 10.44am on Tuesday, police received a report of a man with what appeared to be a handgun in Kirkstall Lane, Leeds.
‘Officers were deployed to the area and a 48-year-old male was detained in Queenswood Drive shortly after 11am by firearms officer using Taser.

‘He was arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He remains in custody.
‘A gas-powered BB gun was recovered at the scene.’
