Nicaragua won’t be taken lightly – Hector
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Reggae Boys central defender Michael Hector says unfancied Central American side Nicaragua will not be taken lightly when the teams clash on Friday at 8:00 pm in the first contest of the World Cup qualifying two-legged tie at the National Stadium.
The return game will be played in Nicaragua on Tuesday.
Hector, who recently signed for English Premier League champions Chelsea FC, said the Reggae Boyz will bring a “professional” approach to get the “job done” over both legs.
Hector was a part of the squad that trained Wednesday evening at Stadium East field.
Jamaica are rated number 52 on the FIFA/Coca-Cola world ranking.
Nicaragua are in 139th place.
The next World Cup is set for Russia in 2018.
