The Rock Square Thunder (The Lightbringer) has revealed to hate this place, the upcoming horror of the open world published by Broken Mirror Games, a brand new label from Bloober Team.
Dressed by a partnership with Skybound Entertainment, I hate this place will be based on a comic book with a nominated Eisner Award created by writer Kyle Stark and artist Arty Topilin. This sees you how to take on the role of Elena, who “inadvertently awakens the wicked force” and has to work on survival in the increasingly deadly world.
The visuals look really neat; We have an isometric view from which we participated in the action, and the game clearly draws inspiration from the visual design of the comic book, including the addition of visual onomatopoeia to display sounds within the world. It's okay!
And we love key art. It depicts a creature that is simply described as “horns of man”, and supposedly you have to avoid it “at all costs”. Oooooh … ominous. Anyway, this looks great and we can't wait to see more.
Let's see what Piotr Babieno, the Bloober Tim Executive, had to say:
“We always want to push the boundaries of horror in all its forms, but with this new title under the games of broken mirrors, I hate this place testify to this vision. With a mixture of mechanics of survival, capturing storytelling and expressing visual identity, we believe that I hate to immerse this place in a truly indisputable nightmare.”
