  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

It warms my heart to see everyone having so much fun here.

I know we are talking Disney, and I know the flicks are for kids. But it is hard not to find something about most of them to love (or at least suffer through). At least for me. I do admit most men snore through them. :(

Still, being the geek that I am, I would have to say my favorite animated film is still The Nightmare Before Christmas (though Coraline comes close!).

Have a grandchild in the room, if possible. ;) Like Disney World itself, this movie is a lot easier on one's patience when seen vicariously, through the eyes of a child.

I don't think I would sit in a theater (or a living room) and watch it alone. (Though I do listen to the soundtrack in my home office!)

Gawd when I saw Nightmare my thoughts immediately went to Elm street, a very unnecessary addition to the world of cinema.

In my case it would have to be one of my three great granddaughters. My Granddaughter would be too busy....

In all honesty in my entire life the only Disney films I have actually seen are Dumbo and The Jungle Book.

It's not a Disney movie but 'The Land Before Time' (the first one) is my all time favourite animated film.
Left me in tears the first time I watched it, and still leaves me welling up and struggling to hold back the waterworks, even after I have become a hardened Horror chick!

The added tragedy of this movie is that the little girl who voiced 'Ducky' so adorably in the film was murdered at age 10 by her abusive father. Last time I saw it I felt a huge sadness everytime her character was onscreen.

You know, in my last post I was going to include The Land Before Time, thinking it was Disney, but I checked first to see if it was.

I was born in 1986, I first saw it when I was about 3 years of age, and was my favourite film for a long time. It's sort of ingrained as some of my earliest memories.

This is a porn site... "dickish"-ness is welcome! :p

I don't know that I can pick any one animated Disney movie as my favorite. The ones that I really like, I like for very different reasons. "Jungle Book" and "Sleeping Beauty" are childhood favorites. Of the "newer" batch, "Beauty and the Beast", "Aladdin" and the first "Toy Story" stand out.

There's no question about the fave non-animated Disney movie at our house- it's "Annie", from 1999, with Kathy Bates, Victor Garber, Audra McDonald, Alan Cumming, Kristen Chenoweth, and Alicia Morton (in the title role). There's also a cameo appearance by Broadway's original Annie, Andrea McArdle. I'm sure this is a fave of mine because "Annie" was the very first Broadway show I saw; I adored it, and received the (vinyl!) album for Christmas that year (wore it out!), and have loved musicals ever since. I was thrilled when our daughter took a shine to it!

BTW, has anyone seen "Saving Mr. Banks", the Tom Hanks/Emma Thompson movie about the making of "Mary Poppins"? I haven't seen it and wondered if it was worth the time.

After polling my great grandkids and great nieces/nephews, Frozen is a mega hit. Their mothers agreed.

They also chimed in on Disney animated productions, unanimously saying that the films are produced for adults who need children to provide an excuse to view them without shame.

My very first movie was in 1938. I was two years old and my folks had never been to a drive in movie theater because they didn't even exist before 1934. Anyhow they packed me up and we went to the Pico Drive in, Los Angeles. We saw Walt Disney's "Snow white" in 1938. In those days Technicolor was new and the rave. I remember little about the movie after the first 20 minutes or so because I went to sleep. Most movies throughout the 40's were black and white. Ironic that now some new age film makers wanting to create a mysterious mood are using black and white again.

This is sort of off topic a bit, but it involves ice.

Last night the winter Olympics pissed me off, so I switched gears to the fake Olympics: an old movie with Olympics and romance called Cutting Edge. Hadn't seen it in ages. D.B. Sweeney!!!! Yummy! And of course Moira Kelly as Kate/Katya was one of my heroines as a youngster, right up there with Megan Follows (Anne of Green Gables)

    Toepick!!!!! :)

So I hear Idina Menzel won an Oscar. Well deserved if you ask me.

However, I think it needs to be a little more metal. This one is for you Clarise ;)

    :)

Strictly speaking the song won (i.e., its composers), but did Idina belt it or what?

Demi Lovato does a more pop version of "Let It Go," which plays through the film credits.
